I thought this deserved a post of its own to show the variations (most post Civil War) for .44 rimfire cartridges.

The real nice thing about those old copper cases, they expand and seal the chamber.  No blow-by to speak of.  In todays world though, not real practical.  Can't reload them.
Now, if someone would just make them as cheap is .22s .............................................

Thanks for pointing that out. That oldammo site is a great site. I haven't visited there for a while.
That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!

wow,

I had no idea original Henry rounds were so high now.  I must have a fortune.  I even have a couple original Civil War round nose, short case (25 grain powder) rounds.

Wow, $135 for ONE Henry Cartridge.
In 1862 1000 Cartridges cost $17.50= 1 cartridge=0,5cent
$1 in 1862 is ca $20 today.
