Will the grips for a S&W New Model 3 (&/or the Baretta Larimie) interchange with a DA .44?

Will the grips for one of the Russian copies interchange with any of the above?

I can tell you for sure that the grips for an original NM#3 are longer than the DA44.  Haven't had the opportunity yet to check the fit on a Laramie.  The Russian grips are not interchangeable with the above, mostly because the inletting is different at the top of the grip.  You might be able to take a Russian grip and cut it to fit.

The Grip Maker dropped by the shop Thusday last and Rapid is correct.  The grips for the Russian are longer and inleted differently.  The grips for the NM 3 are longer but can be worked down to fit the .44 DA.

So there is another project for me.(Like I needed another project. ::))

Howdy Pards and Pardettes.

Books, Pard why don't you contact a grip maker(or severel) and see what it would cost to have a pair made.  I will be taking my new Laramies to Bar-S grips this next week to have Tru-Ivory grips made for them.  I happen to like Tru-Ivory, and the Pards at Bar-S support Cowboy action and the clubs here in the Northwet.

There are other Grip Builders that work mostly with exotic wood or even native woods. Check out their websights and ask for information.

That is all I think I know.
