Conversion Cylinder for Remington Pocket 1863

OK boys and girls, here's the deal, I have this steel framed 1863 Remington .31 caliber pocket pistol and I can't get any info on a conversion cylinder for it.  I know it will handle .31 S&W just like the Colt pocket's, but I get conflicting information about the availability of a cylinder either from Kirst or R&D.

Anyone got any information out there?

I believe R&D used to make one but the pistols varied so much from one to another that the conversion manufacturer had to fit them. Ask Kenny at R&D if he'll make one and fit it for you. Otherwise, you may have to make your own.

I have one also (a steel frame) and am looking for a conversion cylinder.

Taylor's lists one on their web site.  It isn't easy to find.  It's under Conversion Cylinders and is on the last page as P/N P1863.  It is a 5 shot for the 32 S&W Short.

I called Taylor's last week and they advised that it is being made by R&D, it is not in stock at this time and that they will be the exclusive distributor for it.  Delivery is expected in the next few weeks.  We'll see.

It has a list price of $200.00 but I was advised that they do offer dealer pricing on accessories such as this.

I ain't seen any others (as of yet) fer Remingtons   Thinkin' about gettin' a '63 fer muhself and fitting it inta muh suspender/derringer holster.  Time ta' break out the needle and thread again .
