This revolver is about 5yrs.old and used in montly matches with it's brother, another 44 special. Had an action job on both of them from the beginning. My #6 is my right hand revolver and #5 is left hand revolver. Anyhow trigger pulls were originally about 2.5 to 3 lbs., but now the #6 is less than that, maybe 1.5 lbs. or less.  Can this be corrected by a expereinced parts changer and some times light filing, certainly not a gunsmith.

I'd guess it's the sear/bolt spring getting weak, I'd replace that before I did anything else.

That'd be my plan as well - replace it with a Wolff Spring, and you should see a difference.

Don't rule out wear on the trigger tip...I'd look that over and the full-cock notch closely.

Afor you go replacing a bunch parts, you REALLY need to look at the trigger sear.  Most likely it's worn and starting to "round over" which is the most common reason for a light trigger in a Uberti.  Someone with som skill at an SA trigger will probably need to recut the bevel on the trigger sear.  THEN look at your trigger/bolt spring.

PS:  I use a jig to get it right.
