Midway shows the Lyman thermometer for around $29.00 and shows it to be an in stock item.  If you have access to Midway they are usually one of the best and least expensive sources here in the US.  You might eMail Lyman to see if anyone in the UK stocks their products.  You could probably save on shipping that way.  I have a Lyman thermometer and have had good luck with it for several years now.  It seems to be reliable and well made.

Hay Paladin y'ol' Limey Cow-boy,
I snuffed around Ebay and found a new industrial thermometer for about ten bucks.  I think it's prolly more accurate as it uses a mercury type tube instead of a dial; ya kin see it in use here:
