G'day,

Has anyone tried this bullet #452664 with warthog loads ? How does it perform out of a rifle?

I may have the opportunity to try some.

Thanks,

Mucus

I've tried the 240 grain, .44 caliber version in my .44 Special and .44 Colt and they have worked well.  You have a generous lubrication groove on those bullets.

I have shot the .45 Lyman bullet out of my SAA's and they shot real fine.  You shouldn't have any problems.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

This weekend I'll be shooting ten stages with no reason to clean or fuss with my guns to maintain accuracy or function.  Same goes for my long range side match guns.  I'll be shootn' "over the counter" Black Powder, no subs of expensive grades.

The answer is Big Lube™ bullets that haul more than five times the lube of the old designs.  We've been doing this for several years now, and the proof is in.  The designs work and work better than any others offered when it comes to shootn' the Genuine Powder at SASS main match events.

Mason Stillwell and Springfield Slim cast them for sale.  I sell the molds.

Enjoy the smoke!

DD, I will keep your mold offer on the back-burner, but the bullets might be a tad difficult and expensive to get here to Oz.  :)

At this stage I don't cast my own.

I kin look back at my records, but I may have sold some molds that fit yer need and shipped 'em down under.  Yer pards jest might have a mold in the exact size ya need boolits from.  Mayhaps if ya kin sweet talk 'em with a couple of good roo steaks they will come up with some fine cast boolits for ya. . .

Well, if you are going to shoot serious warthog loads, like 40+ grains of BP, then the 200gr will do the trick.

That is certainly a light bullet with a fair amount of powder under it.

For a rifle, that thing should zip down range at well over 1100 fps.

No luck finding anyone down here to cast me some .45Colt soft cast BP bullets. I'd sure appreciate it if you would look back at your records  and drop me a name or two to contact if possible.

Thanks,
