Got a blue Pietta 1858 Remmie w/ a five and a half inch barrel from Cabela's. I've cut a loading port and added a Kirst gated cartridge converter. Been shooting .454 balls w. 30 Gr. Triple-Seven and Ultramax 250 Gr. .45 Colt loads with equally good
results. Added Treso nipples and use Remington #11 caps. Misfires are very very rare.

I now have a stainless Pietta on order from Taylor's. Gonna have BigIrons Barrel works shorten the barrel to match my blue one and go over the action.

I'm lovin' shootin' my Remmie. Lookin' forward to gettin' another !
