Saw something different today at the gunstore

There I was working on the raffle items for our club annual and I saw it..
It was gleaming in the rack of new or special guns just in to the store.  24 inch barrel, in gleaming charcoal blue with a lever and hammer to match.  A dark and glossy stock and forearm set off the blue and gleaming bright white receiver.  I picked it up and looked at the fairly decent factory engraving.  And then the confusion began..  This nice looking 73 was really a 66!  I kept looking for the dust cover and the side plates, but they just weren't there.  Never seen a nickle (or silver) plated 66, but there it was.

And yes, a new gun from Cimarron.  I got busy getting our raffle stuff put together and forgot to ask for details.  Learn something every day, yessiree.

Gouse's work is very very nice, and very reasonable...and he's quick about it.  During the Winter, I have plans on letting him do my Henry like the one he displays on his website.  Alot of engraving these days for 500 bucks...

It looked a lot lke that last picture of yours John Boy, is that a factory gun?  Or is that a Michael Gouse special?

Hext:  No.  The last picture is a 1866 done by Gouse for a customer. 
Actually, what I'm going to have Gouse do is replicate the engraving done by Nimschke on this earliest known YellowBoy
