I have a fair number of Pyrodex Pellets that I have won in the past.  Does anybody know how they will perform in a .45 LC round fired through the Rifle?

You might check over on the Darksiders Den.  I have heard of folks using the pellets in cartridges, I think they used 2 in a .45 Colt case, but you should check.  You will want bullets lubed for black powder.

Hodgdon recommends one pyrodex pellet for .44, 44-40 & 45 Colt cartridges:  http://www.hodgdon.com/data/muzzleloading/pellets/metallic.php  and warns not to use 777 pellets in any cartridge firearm.

Now, that being said, it's perfectly legal to use pyrodex pellets in both your rifle and cap & ball revolvers in the Pistoleer class...similarly it's perfectly legal to ride a moped to Sturgis

LOL.....

Shooting Navy 51's, I will not be stuffing the Pyrodex into a .36 Caliber chamber...
