I'm thinking about it.    How old?  Got pics?

Bought it new from Midway last October.  Still have the box, papers, bumper sticker, and oily bag it came in.  I can get pictures for you Monday, but it looks just like the advertising.

I got it by accident.  I ordered a standard blue, and was shipped this one.  Never been in a holster.  Only shot it to check sights (pretty much dead on with a 255 at 850 fps)  Nothing else I have is Charcoal Blue, so ended up an orphan in my safe.

I couldn't agree more!  It's actually kind of embarrassing how I excited I get when people I've never met get a new gun!

FWIW, used shipmygun.com  really made the whole process pretty easy.  UPS store folks never said a word, just scanned it in and took it.

By the way, mine is from Company F (not "F Troop").  It's a beautiful gun.

My new Nettleton is Co. F, 9th Cav.

Would that be a Buffalo Soldier model?

Nothing on the box or in the paperwork calls it that, but that is what the marking seems to represent. 

Cimarron did some prototype "Buffalo Soldier" commemoratives back in 2008 or 09, but only like 25 or so, Uberti Cavalry pattern revolvers marked for the 10th Cavalry.

I've heard talk of making others, but this is the first one I've seen marked thus.

I'm not positive, but I think that special run was for a group of "modern" Buffalo Soldiers.

Yeah, I think you're right.  A couple have come on the market, but the marking hasn't brought any kind of premium.  Maybe in a hundred years or so . . .
