As a Gunoholic, I recently fell and fell hard.  I rewarded my hard year of ReHab with a fine Brandy New Pair of Pietta built El Malo 2 Revolvers.  Three and a Half Inch octagonal barrels, .45 Colt, Low Wide Hammers and Thunderer(esque) grips (which I am changing).

WOW.  These guns came out of the box ready to play.  Normally, before even cycling the actions, I take new guns apart, fit the bolt, change out the Main Spring and Trigger/Bolt spring and add an Action Overtravel Stop.  So far this pair of guns have needed none of that.  Timing is perfect, lockup is tight (maybe too tight) and the hammer draw is just right.

Pietta has seen fit to change their Mainspring to one of greatly reduced draw weight (but still sufficient to set off any primer) with no stacking.  My only gripe so far is the Cylinder Base Pin which is quite difficult to remove (I'll fix that).  I may also replace Pietta's funky two notch, two position base pin (which sux).

Beyond a couple of those niggley little irritations, these are some really really fine guns.  Burma Shave

I must admit I am overly fond of that grip shape, as well as the retro octoganl barrel and 3.5 inch length!

The gun you have indicated with your post does not appear to have an octagonal barrel.

Sure, it is.  Sometimes the pictures of octagon barrels can be deceiving, since the lines can look like reflections.

Get a replacement for Pietta's base pins?  That's the only think it looks like you mentioned maybe changing out, unless it's the grips.
