Just noticed that I have been in Cas City for 19 years. Sure has calmed down since 2004. It's seems we had a shoot-out almost every night. I like it better this way!

We are lucky to have this site, and a couple others for the wealth of information we can share and access. Even 40 years ago there wasn't a whole lot, and if you needed help with cap & ball pistols? Good luck with that. Not embarrassed to say I check in here at least once a day.

I joined in December 0f 2005 when looking for information on Single Action Army Colt Revolvers. It was here on CAS City where I first heard about SASS, NCOWS and the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting. I picked up much information and many helpful tips from the Leather Workers forum and made some good friends throughout the past 17 years.

I can't say exactly how long ago I registered (as my profile won't let me see my Summary page, only the account Settings), but it was a good many lustrum ago.  Before that I was on the Cas-list.  I'ved garnered much information and heard many tales around these campfires.

If you go to "members" near the top of the page, then click on "member list" it will give you the registration dates for everyone.  It is not correct for older members, though, as it shows 2006 for me and I registered around '99 or '00 I think, after being on CAS-L email list.  I think there's been a software crash or two that reset things.

I came on board after the big one. If I remember right, the Marshal completely re-did the whole board.

I was just wondering if the Marshall has dates available on when the Cass List started, and when it converted to Cass City?  Just wondering in my old age.

CAS-L ran from 1995 to 2004 and switched to this forum the same year.

28 years..... hard to believe....

Gee, I'm almost a babe in the woods-January 2009 for me. A longtime friend and member at the time advised me of CAS CITY.

I don't recall when I joined CAS-L, probably '96 but maybe '97.  I didn't make the switch to CASCity for a while after the list went dark--lurked a bit here and on The Open Range for more than a decade before signing up here. 

2012 for me.

i lost my work email (so gave up trying to access my old account), i coulda swore i first found Cas City in the early years.

Has me joining in 2007.  I thought it was earlier than that, but I could be wrong.  Great source of information!
