I am currently down with whatever sickness the Mrs had. Well, we both are I guess. Fever, aches, pains, sinuses and coughing. Makes for a great weekend. Not totally bed ridden, but not much motivation to get out of bed either.
Y'all keep healthy out there.

Couldn't sleep so got up and sorted and tossed stuff in the trash. Just got up, we went out and it's 26 and a weird combo of very light snow, sleet and freezing rain. Not a lot just enough to make things slick, trip to T-Town canceled. ;) Need an Rx but OK till Tuesday.
Tinker in the kitchen a while today, got sourdough sinner-mon rolls working, won't be ready till tomorrow. Fried pork, apple and onion for supper.
Morning all.
We're still on the sunny side of the dirt here. Got 9" total rain since Friday, but the sun poked out this morning. Lots of places locally got some flooding, but so far no major injuries reported.
Today is my brother's 21st birthday. I told him to buy me a box of 9mm and a brew. We'll see if he listens ::)

Got some things, only thing interesting is some local cheese brats. Made in Table Rock but the one CS in Syracuse carries some of their stuff.
Got a spare for the Jeep car, went with new, decided in made sense, $109 with mounting and balance, traded tales of two of my late Uncle's, one who retired from the tire shop and met one of my once removed cousins or what ever. Met before but not really. I told him he's probably only seen me in a hat, vest and frock, he knew then,

Went out and bought a newer car for my wife,2014 Chrysler 300s, she had it 3 days and it started leaking oil, Like 4 quarts in 50 miles.Called the shop I got it from and told them to send the flatbed to come get it and what the problem was. They wanted me to drive it there, Told them nope, wasn't going to destroy the engine because they didn't want to go out in the cold. They came and got it yesterday after noon, had it repaired around 1:30 today.replaced the Oil cooler cut a pass key for it and replaced the tires that they were supposed to do before I picked it up.All is good now.

That's a fine looking auto, Major. Nice clean lines. I had a 2006 Chrysler 300T and loved it.
Thanks Slim & Johnny, the 300s is replacing a 2006 300c, She likes the 300 series Chryslers.
Found some old pictures....
I installed an after market grill on my 2006 300T and called the car a "Poor man's Rolls Royce".
Truth be told, the horizontal bar grill style like the Major's is my favorite. It just wasn't available back then.
Good news on the Chrysler Major. Weather decent here the last couple of days. Supposed to drop tomorrow almost 30 degrees and rain. Yuck.

Mornin Y'all, we got 4-5 inches of the evil white stuff, I guess it's better than the 8-10 the weather liars called for. Y'all stay warm and dry,I have to go clear my driveway for the wife.
Nothing much here, chilly, will do some cleaning. See what goes on this week, still need to make a trip to Lincoln but no emergency. Riley and I are good till at least St Pat's. Been buying most of my non-perishables off Amazon, saves me having to carry them so far. I leave the cart outside and then heavy bags of dog food and cases of canned goods appear on it and it just rolls in the house.
People complain about them and him, but they provide a very useful service for old people, the whiners don't, they just whine. And that's for any flavor of whiner and for what ever reason. My favorite is the people whining about fast food service, simple, don't go there.
BTW, looked for fun, 2 dozen eggs are still cheaper than a Big Mac meal deal. ;D Oh well, the eggs they hoard won't keep long in Mommy's basement, not like T-paper and 22 ammo. ::)
Heard there is some sort of dispute party going on later, something about a ball and rappers, no idea what that is all about. Something about a supper bowl, leaves me out I mostly use a plate. ;D

Spose to snow, no one is sure when, how much and exactly how much so I think it could be bad, checked, inventory is in good shape, nothing I need or want, even have about 50 pounds of dog food and a little over 5 pounds of treat and plenty of human food, coffee, tea and my meds, plenty of T Paper, paper towels and little plastic dog poop bags. Our brief period of winter (sub 50 degrees) ended over a week ago.
Spring has sprung with mid 80's, and Oak pollen is particularly
heavy. It is affecting my sinuses and my inner ears.
Some vertigo and hearing loss, I'm taking OTC Benadryl, but it is only marginal effective.
Tinnitus is annoying, and minor balance effects but no pain aside mild headache when the meds wear off.
No clue if we will get another cool snap of sub-50's... perhaps :-\
I need to get some more OTC Benadryl (out) so a venture to Walgreens is on my agenda today.
I did get to my friends FFL Saturday; open but it is still boarded up from
car smash and attempted grab.
The 3 perps were apprehended when the stolen KIA was abandoned while still stuck and the mental midgets called an Uber for a getaway.
Two of the Latin's were illegals the 3rd has record of car thief.
Anyway, I came away with no new acquisition(s) I did see a nice S&W pre-mod 10 - M&P at a fair asking consignment price.
But, alas I'm lacking in duckets.
Besides, I already have a very nice S code just post Victory Mod. WW II M&P
Same thing, different day already 80 degrees and foggy.
Clogged head and Tinnitus are the modus operandi on tap ::)
I took some meds and zoned out yesterday and it was a good nap,
woke up feeling some relieved. :-\

29, headed for 45 and rain today.
Class over the past two days was informative. It wasn't strictly necessary for me to take it (it was the foundational class for Single Resource Firing Boss, for those curious), but the information was good, and if I ever feel like going for that qualification I have the class. ::)
Today's agenda looks like a trip over the hill and a lot of busywork. Hopefully I can find some way to make myself not involved with the busywork. A body can only redecorate an office so many times before losing their marbles.

Back in my hometown of Burlington, Wisconsin, the temp is currently +7F with a windchill of-11F. Here in the Sunshine state, the temp is 72F and sunny. While I don't miss the cold weather, I do miss the skiing. We used to live 20 minutes from a ski resort in Wiscosnin. I used to get a season pass and prayed for snow. We started skiing right after Thanksgiving and on into March. Most of the time, we skied on man made snow which was pretty decent.
The ski resort will be closed early today due to cold weather!

Biggest news from here is that I sent another new gun to CA waiting period purgatory today. Went to sportsman's warehouse intent on buying a Mossberg 702 semi auto 22lr, ostensibly on sale for $109. alas, they were sold out, but they did have a Henry youth model on sale, which all said and done was $299, plus extortion fees. So in 10 days, I'll have a Henry 22lr lever gun.

Looking to re=sight my Springfield EMP
I just can't see the mini tic-mark on the rear in daylight
nor does it in anyway glow in the darker light.
They are XS brand (the front would be fine IF I could see the rear)
Unless you're doing precision shooting, just put the front sight on the target and press the trigger. No need to waste time lining up the sights. ;) If your target is farther than 15 yards then the rear sight become more important.
Thanks Major, I bought this gun as LNIB, the PO had installed these aftermarket XS sights.
I would have preferred the OEM 3 dot, but at the time that was not the option and getting that gun off consignment was a sweet deal.
So, I suppose I've had prejudice opinion, and thinking I would prefer night sights
Then when I priced Tritium I was sticker shocked.
In the end, it's pay up or get along with the XS Combat. :-\
