As someone who's relatively new to buying ammunition online, I've noticed a lot of variability in both the price per round and the shipping fees across different ammo directories.
Some sites offer incredibly low prices on ammo, but then the shipping costs are so high that the total price isn't as competitive anymore. Others seem to have reasonable shipping fees but charge a bit more per round.
For experienced buyers, how do you weigh these factors? Do you tend to prioritize lower prices per round and accept higher shipping costs, or do you focus more on sites that offer affordable and fast shipping, even if the ammo itself is slightly more expensive?

If I were buying ammo I'd look at the overall cost per round. That said, if you intend to attend many shoots each season, you really need consider reloading. It's tougher these day what with availability and cost issues with powder and primers. Still, in the long run you will save money and also have the security of having a ready supply of ammo for each shoot (if you acquire a substantial inventory of components).

Many if not most of the online sources pay the freight with orders 50$ or more
Some do with 100$ order but they all will charge you're local sales tax
Depending on how much center fire you shoot reloading is the best option altho some cartridges aren't worth the time and effort to reload so buying by the case is the best option
