I've been using a Mernickle modern Wild Bunch holster for a couple of year, but have a mind to try something else and am looking for ideas.
I like the style of the El Paso Saddlery Patton Holster except for the grip forward cant and thumb strap. Would prefer a vertical or slight barrel forward cant and no retaining strap or thumb break (a retaining string like on the Mernickle holster -- which I pretty much never use- would be OK). And I need it to fit on my existing Mernickle belt and come close to matching the "gunfighter Brown" color of the rig.
Any ideas?

jm-leather.com is one of the few makers that offers a forward cant. Excellent quality, excellent service, very good leather.

I'm looking for vertical or barrel slightly forward.
Check out M.I.J holsters. Outstanding quality.
A correct 1911 flap holster that goes with my Punitive Expedition or Wild Bunch uniform. I have a dropleg cavalry holster that I also use.
This is my latest
JM Leather is not taking any further orders for 2023. May be bailing out??
:) Additionally ;)
I'd suggest giving "Murphy Custom Gunleather" a call. Excellent quality and can and will entertain making holsters "your way."

Oh, I have 3 of those, including a dropped cavalry style.

Doesn't appear he has what I am looking for to fit my Springfield Garrison. A couple of his patterns are available for the M45 MEU-SOC pistol (which should work for the Garrison) but are not what I am looking for.
Here is another for the 1911, actually for the British Sam Browne rig.
