Has anyone ever though about a small 3,5 gal. Elec Parts Cleaner with Ballistol 10 to one with water ?

I hadn't thought if it before, but I am now! I think that's a great idea.
I use the Harbor Freight ultra-sonic unit. The solution I use is Simple Green & Water 50-50 each. The unit also has a heater unit.
Wow , now that you brought it up I just gotta have one. Drat, they don't list them on their site anymore. :(
I've had a HF ultrasonic cleaner for years. Works great and looks just like the one Lyman sold except it's less than half the price.
Harbor has a model...but Amazon has about 4 or 5 different models ...one a JEGs for $49 course there is 11 buck shipping though....
but the model shown is $69 free shipping Harbor Freights is $99

I have Harbor Freights sonic cleaner, with coupon was under $30 same exact unit Hornady & Lyman sell but with their decal @ $100 +
:o You ALL are kidding ....... right?? I mean, You're really KIDDING ???? I mean I use and have for years, used, WATER. Plain ... out of the tap Water. Some days I get carried away and I use HOT, out of the tap .... water. With an old tooth brush in some spots.
I think some of youz are taking something really really simple and making it really really complicated.
water is fine in fact great...
however they used to use smoke signals, signal flags & Morse code .... today ? well we have the Inter NET ....
nothing wrong with .....progress
The ultra-sonic cleaners really shine on C&B cylinders, which of course you can't run a patch or brush all the way through. Come out of the cleaner nice and hot, a shot of compressed air and done. I do remove the nipples and reapply choke tube lube, or at least check them to make sure they are free. Basic ingredient in ultra-sonic cleaner, HOT WATER. I probably wouldn't go to the trouble for one cylinder, but usually after a shoot I'm cleaning 6 at a time.
Coffinmaker, I do it that way too. Hot water in the sink, then wipe it down with Balistol. I just think it would be nice to take the whole activity outside, instead of fouling up the kitchen sink. The parts cleaner tank would be just the trick.
