On behalf of Len Abels, Brian Bauer, John Saffran, and myself John Hoker, and Bev, Linda, and Pam (the ladies tea group), we
would like to announce that the 2019 convention will once more be held at the Radisson in Davenport Ia. on March 22-24. This
will be our 4th and final year of hosting this event. We have a couple new events that we are working on to hopefully make
this the best convention that we have put on.
The Radisson is under a major renovation and they are raising our block room rates from $89 to $93, although I did get 10
gals. of free coffee thrown in. Otherwise we will be keeping the same prices.
Johnny has a website about done, so at this point I would like to ask anyone with seminar ideas to speak up, either to do
one, or something you would like to see
So on behalf of our group we would like to cordially invite you to attend this premier event, because seeing our NCOWS
friends is what makes all the work worthwhile.
Thanks John Hoker aka Bear Tooth Billy
Great we will be there.
Reservations made
Some updates; I tried to get a tour of Rock Island Auction, but they have commitments so it won't work.
We will be having can-can dancers (4 of my nieces) at the Friday night hospitality room, be ready to hoop
and holler. The original block of rooms (30) have been sold out so they added 10 more, Feb. 22 is the deadline
to get the better rate, make sure you mention you are with the convention. It includes the 3 nights of the
convention and 3 nights before and 3 nights after. When you first arrive go in and register and get your
free parking pass. I send out confirmations every Sunday, if you have not gotten one but sent in a registration
please call in case it got lost in the mail. Thanks Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!
John
On March 21, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM an informal Western Action Match will be held indoors at the Davenport Guns & Shooting Club. This Range is located within one mile of the Convention Center. Three "Pistol Only" stages will be shot using NCOWS approved Pistols and ammunition. Shooting the three stages will take you approx. twenty minutes. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
For more details and stage descriptions please visit the 2019 NCOWS Convention website at www.ncowsconvention.com
As much as I hate to say it I won't be making it this year! It will be the first one I have missed since joining NCOWS.
The group in Iowa has done A great job every year with putting the convention on and deserve a huge thank you from all the members.

I hope nothing serious.
No Trap things just won't work out this year. See you at the Nationals.

Ah, the good life, just spent the afternoon watching the can-can girls practicing
in my living room. LOL Some updates, we will have a 5 piece band at the banquet,
they love playing for our group, the one lady is flying in from Denver. High card is
bringing his faro table and will have it going in the hospitality room after the Congress meeting.
Billy
Sierra Sue and I will not be able to attend the convention this year, life seems to have gotten in the way.
We hope everyone has a great time and all have safe travels.
JW.
Jeff we will miss you and Karen. I hope all is well with you and the snow is not too deep.
Sorry to say I won't be at the convention this year, but I will make up for it at the NCOWS National in June.. see you all then.
Jay West aka Cash Creek.
Yes as well to the National, lest wise that's the plan,
afraid not on the convention
Well our 4 year run of conventions is over, and we were out to make this
last one the best of all. 2 things that I really wanted, finally happened on
this 4th year, the can-can girls and the tintype photographer. I think
Presidents Grant and Lincoln were an outstanding addition also. I know
I had a great time this year, and I'd like to thank everyone who helped
and everyone who came to help make this 25th jubilee convention such
a success.
John Hoker
I really hate that I had to miss it. The group that has worked so hard for the last four years deserves a big thank you. Bushwhacker
Outstanding convention!
Kudos to the committee, vendors, guests, speakers, musicians & participants who made this such a special event.
Great job on a well done convention. Thanks to all those who worked hard to make it possible.
All,
As I was unable to attend this year's convention, I would sure appreciate any photos you may have taken for the magazine.

A job well done and thank you for all the hard work putting on a great convention You guys truly outdid yourselves at this year's convention seminars with General Grant and Lincoln. Lastly, it probably wasn't noticed by some, but it was great to see some young people at the convention.
Blackjack Charlie
We though YOU were the young person! Thank you for stepping up and taking on your new role as secretary. It was a great convention, many thanks to all involved!
Thought! Dammit!
