Title: My Spencer
Post by: mgmradio on December 03, 2017, 11:06:48 AM
Here is my Spencer.
It was originally a shotgun, but the previous owner rebarreled it with a heavy octagonal barrel and S center fire breach. I still have the original parts. Serial # 20992 .
Shoots very well and as far out as I can see.

It would be interesting to know the history of that one.  Did Spencer shotguns come with Stabler cutoffs?

More than likely the cutoff was present on the gun when it was converted to a shotgun. There are no records of Spencer, Fogarty or Winchester offering this as shotguns. All appear to be gunsmith conversions.
