Leave everything as it is for those who like it, but start "Back to the Basics" type groups for those of us who don't like so many restrictions.
Local groups who shoot at BLM and like that.
They could be testing grounds for people considering getting into the more organized groups. Folks could shoot each other's smokewagons, Newbs could get a feel for various weapons, etc in an informal setting. Get advice on what's farby without being SHUUUUUUUUNNed. Hail, some groups COULD be Hollywood related. Everybody ought to be able to have some fun on some level.
It's just a thought. Any authies who just want to kvetch, save your bandwidth, please.
This is what we do at our local NCOWS club, The Blue River Regulators, in Valparaiso, NE.
We have hosted Greenhorn shoots regularly, and members not only bring a variety of firearms, but also clothing, leather, hats, etc. for people to try on. Usually guide them through a typical stage. It's a good introduction to gun safety and authenticity.
Great fun, and it starts new members out right.
In the past we've hosted a Scandinavian group and a Japanese group.

We've always tried to do that with our club, as well. In fact, we always tell people not to buy anything without asking us first. Between several of us, we often have what they're wanting, and we always encourage them to try ours first!
