Thanks for that, Cap ;)
You are quite welcome, Rio.
It seems I will have to add about five more years...

One could probably guess those newer codes based on the previous list, although it is not totally consistent.
(There is an AE and a CE, but no BE).
Many lustra ago when I was in QC at Texas Instruments, the build revision letters were marked on each circuit board. They would not use I, O, Q, S, X, or Z since some of those could be mistaken for something else. The mnemonic I came up with to remember those letters was Indians On Quaaludes Seem Xtra Zany. ;D

Heavens Abilene, I like it!
Were you around when the gov,t rejected huge lots of a particular TI chip from Thailand?
It was a peculiar chip, used mainly in wing mounted missles. They seemed ok, but after installation, when the jet jockey pushed the go button, they did not so much fly as plummet....

No Professor, I had not heard of that one (I was there '77-'01). We did not make chips at the Austin location. I did hear about some scrubbed NASA launch caused by a TI chip. I'm thinking it had been ESD damaged.
