Title: Norinco 97 stock
Post by: olered on April 14, 2014, 11:58:36 AM
Picked up a Norinco 97 for cheap this weekend and I need a replacement stock for it. It was dropped sometime and a large chunk
splintered off the bottom of the butt. The owner did not have the piece. I could fix it but will need to refinish it and the wood sure aint
pretty. Any ideas on where I might look for a replacement?
Thanks

Try the following threads    http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,48290.0.html     http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,48886.0.html   The website is www.macongunstocks.com/  They are listed as for the original Model 97 but as  the poster states fit his Norinco with just a  little work. Give them a call .They show a standard grade American walnut buttstock for $75.

I just picked one up for my Winchester 97 from http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/product.htm?pid=13692&cat=1227  Was $60 plus Shipping.  I found it to be functional and consistent with stocks of that era.  came with a buttplate.  Don't know if it will fit you Norinco.
