One of the high points of my Military Career was being invited to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball at Fort Benning in 1979. In true Chesty Puller style the cake was cut with a Mameluke Sword.
My deadly NCO sword has cut right through a lot of Marine Corps Birthdy cakes! :-}
