Title: "Tracking Point" making a sniper out of Gomer

The sound has faded, but as I figure it, the shooter aims, designates, pulls the trigger, and the shot only leaves when the gun comes back onto the exact predicted data.

More useful than the USFA/ZIPP

And when the batteries fail, or some other techno-glitch sidelines the sight on 'Gomer's' rifle, he is unable to hit a cow in the A$$ with a shovel.
Better to spend the money buying the ammo necessary to make him into an effective rifleman. Advanced technology gizmos like this have yet to win a war for anyone - drones, anti-missile defence screens, robotics, etc. 'Whitefeather' Carlos Hathcock didn't need one.

Remember the incredible marksmanship feat of Lee Harvey Oswald with a Carcano carbine mounted with a cheap scope and surplus ammo? The FBI and Secret Service wouldn't lie to the world, would they? I mean, would they .... ;>)
