Sir Charles would like us to have a certificate to present in pdf format. This is a ruff draft and would like to hear suggestions.
This would be printed on parchment looking paper, certificate paper or on plain white at the persons option.
Excellent! That would be great on either Parchment or Certificate paper.
Would it be left to the individual to print their own, I assume? Otherwise, there will be expenses that are unwelcome.

Steel Horse, it would be left to the individual to print their own. Also a person that bestows the honor on other members could print one for those honorable folks. The finished product will be put in PDF format for printing

Great! This is as it should be, IMHO. It will go well with any other "virtual" society organizations, such as the Stealth Bullet Shooting Society, the Grand Army of the Frontier, and an Order of the Golden Bullet certificate, as well as any others desired or "earned."
While this may be "in fun," it is an Order to be proud of. This love of History as well as shooting is a lot of fun and things like the
SHOTS group here will help spread the word ... and the fun!
Is the Crown taken from a British seal? It looks very much like things I've seen of British, Australian, or Canadian origin. (And of course, the Australian & Canadian colonies began as British colonies. With a little help from France in the case of Canada, nat'cherly.)

Of course several of the Unite of States were a colonies as well. There is a certain matter of TAX ARREARS to be dealt with before they can regain that honour. ;D ;D
HST; I agree that there are better options than a crown for our free & voluntary society!
I like the eagle, but I'd prefer that he be grasping a rifle and a pistol. Preferably a Cowboy lever rifle and an open top pistol. Both are recognizable at ten feet. . .

Dick, I love the idea, but I do not have the ability to do it.
Within my ability there is only the three choices.
Of the three, I would opt for the Knight, but...?
Can anyone post any other crests for us to look at? I am a tecnophobe as well.
I shoot BP in my 1860 Henry(45 Colt) and I have aquired a couple C&B revolvers to shoot BP in. I would like to be a member of SHOTS but I don't have a printer to print off a certificate of membership.
I think all of them look great! I prefer the crown.
I like 'em all, too! The crown is nice, but I like the eagle best with the helmet least.
Thanks for your efforts, Two Walks!!
TexLaw, don't worry, Brother. I'll keep you in line with it. Hell, I'll GIVE you a printer. Will you be coming to the NCOWS Convention?

Sir Chas., I've paid all of MY taxes! And I seldom drink tea unless it's iced ... which my Scottish wife says is an abomination and an affront to God and Queen! (Well, SHE says "Queen" I'll go with "Nature")
;)
TOO much paid, if ya wanna know! But I can't speak for all ...

you can have a different badge shapes Nooo probs!!
Paladin (Whay lurvs ta dabble ;D ) UK
Cool! I like 'em ALL!
I like the crossed Colts, but the words Black Powder is a mite small for badge detail. I think maybe increase the barrel size. The crossed Colts can overlap the barrel some.
DD-MDA
DD I agree with you. Perhaps just BP could appear on the barrel. I think most folks would understand that and then you could increase the size of the text.

+1
This just keeps getting better and better.
I like the crossed pistols over the barrel.
I WISH the pistols were different, rather than 2 of the same. For example; an 1860 Army and an 1873 Peacemaker, or leaving the Patterson and making the OTHER an 1860 Army ... or a Peacemaker ... or a Walker/Dragoon ... or a Patterson and a Remington 1858NMA/1875 ... or - well, you get the picture! Two different pistols, in other words.
Thanks to all who have pitched in. In one of the first posts, Dos Walks Baldy (or someone) suggested that I and another helper should work up a certificate or a logo design. If I were technically as proficient with a confuser computer as I am with a firearm, there wouldn't be any problem! But you guys who've worked up this seal are awesome ... and fast PUK, you've got LOTS of suggestions really quick! Good on ya, Mate!
I like 'em all also, especially the crossed rifles and the crossed Colts.
Whaddya think

The ideas keep on getting better! This one I like, and pins are a great idea too.

Yeppir!
Considering that I am a Murrican I like the eagle. Of course, seeing that I was a Warthog before becoming a Soot Lord I prefer the term Soot Hog. Of course if I had any artistic ability at all I'd want a big ol' boar on the seal. Like a boar charging out of a cloud of smoke.
All of these look really good and would serve well. However, I just can't help but feel there should be a Sharps in there somewhere. Maybe combined with a revolver? Wish I had the skills to put something together.
