Now, once the budget recovers I'll have to see if I can find it a friend. ::)
IMO, if you got it for $1500 you got a decent deal.
Thats what I was thinking, just checked Cherry's website and they list a couple (or it may be the same one twice) at a reduced price of $1695. Most of the others I've seen of late have been priced from around $1700 to as high as $2400 (WOW!) So I thought jump while the jumping was good. I was looking at getting on of the new nickel ones anyhow and well this popped up at just the right time. Can't wait to get it in my hands. ;D
If you need more, let me know. I have two in the safe that I haven't shot in years.
Thank you, Pettifogger, I'll keep that in mind, but for now I've got to let the bank rebuild, specially after I 'treat' the wife to that new whatever it will be to get her off my a** about too many guns. Sheesh, she said I could get it. ::)
Pettifogger, you wouldn't by chance have the blued .45 version?
Nope. A friend and I have looked for the centennials. He took the .45s and I took the .44s.
;D It has done arrived! Picked it up a little bit ago. It is one sweet six shooter. Can't wait to put her theu her paces. ;D
;D Uh oh, the bug dun bit agin'. Found a friend for the first Centennial I bought.

:D Can't wait to see what this pair will do once they're together.
Now, maybe ivory grips.... ::)
Pathfinder, I have two I bought in 2008. On both I had to have the chambers & throats opened up as they were too tight. They would not take a bullet over 0.428" and the groove diam. of the barrel is 0.429". Just a heads up. ;)
FCK, I'll have to slug the bores and see once I have both of them in hand. I kinda figured that the barrels would go .427 as that is what my 2nd gen 44 spec barrel slugged at and they are 2nd gen guns. Hmmmmm... I do love a mystery. :)
Of course I hope I've learned to slug better than I used to. I'll get that old barrel out again and do it at the same time to be sure.
Heads up on how to measure:

Yes once the throats are opened up it will shoot wonderfully and take any brass/bullet combo.
I like Starline with a .429 or .430 bullet. ( my bullets as sized are justa hair over .429)
