And so, Forty Rod went on a posting spree last night, taking out his elipses and scattering them hither and yon. Just what do those three dots mean? Is it a mystery for the ages?
Here's my interpretation of them:
"..." means "I am still interested in this subject but don't have anything to add at the moment. In hopes that someone else will continue this subject, I am sending it back to the top so more people will see it."
Anyone else have an interpretation for them?
AnnieLee, gonna start calling Forty Fonzai Forty Dotdotdot. :D
He's trying to be "period" correct? ;D
Slim
Thank you for your interpretation Annie Lee. I was wondering about them little dots myself and was hoping they were a postive gesture. ???

As I look for my Boy Scout manuel to refreshing my Morris code skills, answer this for me. Does anyone commerically use morse code these days?
I think it is still used some in the so called 3rd world countries. Also as a side note the code used by RR's and Western Union is slightly different than what was used by rodio operators.
I believe the correct term for the telagraph code is Morse code and the term for the other is International Morse Code.
Delmonico you again are right it is Morse not Morris....It's been years sence I've seen much more than a shot on an old Western, using it. I believe theRR's now use Motorola's(Sp?)
The reason Amatur Radio opperators are/were required to learn code was that in case of evergency it it easier to jury rig a code trasmitter than a voice one. Also it is easier to read code than voice if the signal is weak.
She was only a telegrapher's daughter, but she didit didit didit.
