I've been in contact with my local supplier of Ceramic Porcelain brass cleaning media. I inquired a while back about a smaller size media. Something around 5mm to 3/16". I just got off the phone with the TSR and he advises that they will have a sample for me to test in about Six weeks.
So, hold on pards. I'm working on a small size brass tumbling media. Price is yet to be determined. Please stand by for updates.
Yours in smoke,

I'll be anxiously waiting to see what you have for us!
Chorus to I Seen The Light ...
See all the things I read about,
see all the things I've heard about,
I seen the light
Good move Dick. Just make sure the stuff is ceramic 'polishing' media, not the aluminum oxide cutting stiff
Howdy JB,
The light could be expensive. I don't have final delivery prices. Tests first, then stocking, then delivery. I don't like to use my pards money to lift my purchase power. If and when this smaller diameter media is introduced on my web site, it'll be priced fair and stocked for delivery.
We will learn together.

I spoke with the sales rep for my CP supplier and he says production/delivery is about Six weeks out. I'll call him again in about Six weeks to see what he has on hand.
DD-DLoS
I want some.
Thanks Pards,
The price has yet to be determined. Don't jump in too quick. I'm still waiting on my test sample. If it proves out and IF it can be supplied at a reasonable price I'll stock it. Till then, hold yer horses and please await developments.
So far as I know, this stuff hasn't been offered to shooters. I'd like to be the first. In the mean time, DD CP media kits will continue to be offered and delivered. They work great and have a proven track record.

"Small size DD"
I just can't get it through my head that DD is small sized. ;D
It's not me, it's my grit Pulp. Small grit, big grin. . .

Was at Harbor Freight this morning. Back in the coner, spied a 5 lb container of ceramic triangles ... 19 bucks.
They are probably in the 1 mm size but they are still ceramic triangle media that will work in one's rotary tumbler

Did you pick it up?
Cemetery, no I didn't. I have a supply of 2mm ceramic media
I was surprised though at the low cost of the ceramic triangles compared to the cost I paid
Not sure how they would work on brass, but it would be worth a try at $14.99 for five pounds. Would they be too aggressive? They have large and medium shown on their web site. They may be too big to use on brass. Worth looking into anyway.

Here's a question, when it comes to wet tumblin' brass cases, other than size, is all ceramic media the same?
Is there a certain *kind* we should be looking for?
Dick, there are the wrong size - too large ... don't waste your money. You wan ceramice triangles tha are 2mm to 3mm in size
Cemetary ... sorry. I gave a goodly amount to BPCR shooters. What I have left I plan to keep

Thanks for the links.
So basically *ceramic media* is *ceramic media*, and if I can find 2mm triangle type at a good price, I don't need to be concerned with what the *ceramic* is composed of right?
This from Midway sounds promising. Anyone ever try the Lyman ceramic media? They are not triangles and from the feedback may stick in 30 cal cases. They don't tell you the size of the media either.

The problem with the Kramer Industries triangles is they require a minimum purchase of 55#'s.
Just a recommendation to media purchasers, be sure to rinse your new media well in order to remove small tiny particles from the media or be sure to rinse your brass well before sizing. If you don't you run the risk of scratching the inside of your sizing die. Ask me how I know that.

Right! Even 3mm to 4mm ceramic triangles also
