I am selling Marvin my Marlin 45LC he is a 20 inch carbine.. 1894 Cowboy Limited in good shape. i love him, but I want to have just 38s to mess with, easier to reload that way. So, what should I sell him for? And what should I expect to pay for a 38 Marlin carbine? What do I need to watch for? I want to list him for sale or trade on SASS and here, but I want to make sure I get the right marlin 38 and that I ask a fair price and pay a fair price.. Thanks guys and gals.. Deja.
Have you browsed the ads yet? I usually get my prices by averaging the prices others are asking. I try for a straight trade first.
Hey Deja,check out gunbroker.com and do a search...That will give ya a pretty good i dea on either one either way..
I am trying out a Marlin 38 lever on Sat at Cassville.. its not a cowboy limited, but its a C??? Looks like and even trade if it works good.. My 45 Cowboy limited might have a new home this weekend and I can use just 38's.. lol
.38's?? Well I guess you are a girl! ::) Gonna go hide now! :o :P ::)
One observation. The modern Marlins are usually marketed as .357/38's. I have heard of some feeding problems with
.38 specials. Just watch for that. It's related to overall length.
How bout somthin like these...
Hers is gone. She did a trade for one in .38 / .357 on the weekend.
Thanks Wolffies.. sorry I was busy today.. out hiking, on the phone with family and I have a huge FAMILY and they are all calling me.. lol.. I feel so loved.. lol
so when were you going to send out the adoption anouncements! DR
Dangerrangerss... lol.. I think it will take me a while to get that done.. anyone who knows me is afraid to give me their address.. lol
Dejas, if you traded a 45 Cowboy limited for a C model I sure hope you got some boot. Otherwise somebody saw ya comin' and took ya to da cleaners. Say it ain't so?
