Hello, I was looking to see if I could find a spencer with original rear peep sight, I found what looks to be one under NW Pony Express, on a 1867 Sporting rifle, could someone look and tell me if this is what one looks like.

Thanks Dana
Yes that is the factory fited tang sight.there was also a beter privitly made one ,there is a picture of it in( old gun sights)book, not shure who wrote or published it but it is still avalible
It´s an old friction sporting tang sight. Sharps used a similar one on their Sporting rifles. The sight is next to worthless as they soon become loose and the slider falls to the bottom.
That's Sexy,....wish they made a repo......that would be a good Christmas present for my Spencer...
Greetings!
A Quality Rear Sight, styled after this original, would be a wonderful addition to any
Spencer. I'd also go for a Replica Sporting or Gemmer Spencer { Hint, hint...!}!
Be Well, All!
