Please register me as a member of the USFA owners as I'm now the proud owner of the USFA Rodeo which is one great six shooter. I wanted to buy the Peacemaker, but I couldn't find any anywhere and I was lucky to find the Rodeo which I removed the original finish and now it looks like a genuine Colt from the 1890's.
Kinda looks like their Pistolero, but with more blueing. I love it and I'm still lookin to buy a Peacemaker if anyone know where I can find one, new or used I'd sure appreciate it.
I want the 4 3/4" Peacemaker. My Rodeo is a 5 1/2" and one more thing; I'm sure glad that USFA were smart enough NOT to put the name 'RODEO' on the gun! ;)
I also want to join the SASS and was wanting to do it for a long time. so I'm going to be calling in my C.C. if I can for my membership. My alias is Trapper or Trapper John as long as it's not already taken.
Thanks pards...

Hello, folk...the nickname is mtngunr, I don't participate in shooting games, but have been shooting and tinkering with single action handguns in a very determined manner for several decades...just bought Rodeo on 20050605, and am super impressed with the quality which I put equal to or better than any other hangun of any design curently made in the US...definitely would like to be a member of a USFA Collectors association, and am curious if there is a "real" group with membership roll of actual names with actual membership numbers....

Please sign me up as a very satisfied owner of USFA six-guns. Originally I purchased a couple of the USPFA when they first came available. Altough the fit & finish of those guns were good, they just weren't the quality of the Colts I was using. I bought 2 Rodeos when they were introduced and have been shooting them ever since without a single hitch. Have a couple USFA SAA's too, but they don't shoot any better that the Rodeos and I don't care what my match guns look like as long as they function perfectly.

My name is Little Ringo, and I am the son of Ringo maverick. We recently acquired a pair of USFA Rodeos. We were lucky enough to get the pair at the old price (these were purhased by our dealer prior to the price increase)AND with the color case hardened hammer, which they now charge $100.00 for. And even thoug I have only had them for a couple of weeks, I LOVE THEM! My dads friend is a gunsmith and worked over the action on both pistols for us............what a HUGE difference! Anyway, I spend most of my time these days trying to keep my dad from laying his paws on my shooting irons! Glad to be a part of the group. BTW, my dad has it REAL bad for the Rodeo with Race Groove Competition pistol. We will see how that plays out.

Just joining the forum on USFA, as I read a bunch of literature, subscribed to the gun magazines, visited my gun dealers and then...well, one of them handed me a USFA SAA and didn't have to say much after that.... I put a Nettleton on layaway, and now have a pair of Rodeos and a customized SAA coming from the Marshal.... I'm hooked.
Next steps: the right leather and, oh yeah, actually shooting the Rodeos. I hate saying this but I feel like the Nettleton and the SAA, with fancy walnut grips, fire blue appointments and a couple of other things, may never get fired....at least by me. Maybe I'll change my mind... ha ha. The latter two just seem like modern works of art to me.

I just picked up my 2 brand new Long Hunter USFA Rodeo II pistols yesterday at my clubs monthly shoot! I couldn't be more pleased.
These are the most beautiful pistols I have ever owned. Fit and finish is flawless and the action job by Long Hunter is excellent. They are as smooth as silk. I may eventually splurge on some Bar S Tru-Ivory grips, but in the meantime the stock checkered Burlwood stocks are very very comfortable and provide an outstanding grip surface.
The satin nickel finish is even better than I imagined it would be. Just flashy enough to look superb in the sunlight, but not so bright and reflective to be overwhelming. The charcoal blue appointments really set off the nickel finish nicely.
I can't wait to take them out to the range this week and put them through their paces. Only thing left to do now is make myself a new set of holsters and a gun belt worthy of carrying them :)

New to the forum, been collecting for about 6 years now. Sad to say I haven't shoot them yet.
This thread looks pretty inactive, but I'd like to register if that's still possible. I ordered and received a custom blue and charcoal black powder frame USFA revolver in .44/40 in 2008. I like it very much. Based on that experience, I recently decided to acquire at least one more before the supply of USFA revolvers on the used revolver market dried up, which I predict it largely will. What I wound up with was two Pre-War additional revolvers in .45 Colt, one with a 4.75-inch barrel and another with a 7.5-inch barrel.
I would certainly like to communicate with other owners of USFA revolvers more knowledgeable than I.
Greetings All,
I have assumed the responsibility of moderating the USFA forum and will do my best to keep everything up to date.

I'd like to be considered a member here although I gave up SASS shooting about 25 years ago. I can't afford the 1st gen Colts I used to shoot black powder in, and I'm too old and busted up to do the clean up that lasts longer than the BP shooting did (LOL).
Went looking for a good quality reproduction of 1st gen SAAs and found USFAs and have been delighted with the ones I've found. My only problem has been, so many people seem dead set on telling me I either: paid too much; just bought a Uberti that was prettied up here; or bought a gun built here but from Uberti parts. What is it with most folks? They just have to pee on your biscuits or in your coffee!
Anyway, I like the ones I have and might just be foolish enough to pick up another if one comes along. (smile)

I have just joined this forum to get more info onUSFA guns.I am not sure if I qualify as a collector or not. I have 3 USFA guns and am always looking for more. But I definitely shoot them. I can honestly say that I have not shot a USFA revolver since about 11:00 this morning.

I'm new here but own a 4 3/4" nickel USPFA in .45 Colt and a blue and color case 5 1/2" in .44WCF. I've had these new since 1995 when I was CAS. I paired the blued pistol with a Marlin Century Limited in .44WCF. I think the paring holds up well as they were both color case hardened by Turnbull. Obviously, these are the older Uberti sourced pistols. Hope that's not a problem with joining. Thanks

It is certainly no problem and welcome. There hasn't been much activity in a while. Seems we are all getting too old and just don't have much to talk about anymore.
Provide us some pictures of those pistolas. :)
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. Let me introduce myself in a nutshell: I have been a police officer for 20 years in Switzerland and a gun collector. I recently bought a USFA Revolver and need your expertise (I seem to be in the right place). It is a USFA Birdhead revolver in 45 Colt. There is a lot of conflicting information about this factory (Uberti parts). Can you tell me more about this model and its value (I paid 600 USD)? Serial Number 21643
It is in mint condition and probably never been used. Sorry for my English I translate with Google
According to the serial number I believe your revolver is an Italian parts revolver and not one that was made with all USA parts. It is a very nice-looking revolver and in my humble opinion you acquired it at a very good value. Well under what they are currently going for here in the US.
Welcome to the forum. The forum hasn't been very active of late but hopefully others will greet you and perhaps comment on your nice revolver.
thank you very much for your message. best regards from switzerland

I have Two USAF Rodeos in 45 colt. I bought from Long Hunter with LH serial numbers. I have used them shooting Classsic Cowboy for years.
Anybody that has requested to join USFA CSS and has not been added to the list, shoot me a PM and I will update it to include you. ;)
Please add me, SASS 6708

Just joined CAScity specifically for the USFA info and discussions.
Hoping to learn more about the one I recently acquired. Would appreciate the add to this group.
