I'm off overseas for a week and don't know if I'll be able to log on while I'm gone. No where particularly dangerous this time.
In my absence, I am appointing Bvt Col Bull Schmidt as Acting Commander of the GAF. He has my authorization to make decisions which cannot await my return.
We have two applicants for the position of the GAF Adjutant. The Adjutant is responsible for maintaining our Enlistments and Awards - both of which are in need of attention, so I've asked both to attend to one of these duties until both can be brought up to date.
See you all next week.

Yes Sir!
Bvt Col BullSchmitt
Commander Department of the Atlantic
GAF Webmaster
Carreful Scout, I'm pretty sure this is how they got the Czar in 1917...
;D
Be careful, Sir.
Congrats, Bvt Col Bull Schmitt.
Slim
Attention:
As Acting Commander I am approving a 25% pay increase across the board. :o
Col Bull
Thank you, Sir. ;D
Slim
Don't you have to be getting paid to get a pay increase? ha ha. ;D
Talk to Gen US Scout about your pay rate when he returns. He should have discussed it to you. ;D
Ah Okay, I'll draft up a resume, and forward it along to you, just remember to endorse it, ha ha. ;)
One Question though, Can I fore-go money and be paid in Cartridges instead? ;D
ZO,
As my EX wife used to tell me, "You're entitled to your fantasies!" ;) ;D ::) Just don't hold yer breath!!
All payments are in government script.
Col. Sir, I don't know about the other Junior Officers but I would prefer to be paid in regular toilet paper as the Gov't script is quite stiff and uncomfortable.
Respectfully,
Capt. Montgomery Little, A Co. 7th Cav.
Yes Dr. Bob, that seems to be very true, ha ha. ;D
I heard my First Sergeant put it best one time, when a Private asked if he was going to be paid, the Sergeant said, No he wasn't, and the Private stated that he was "entitled to pay." To which the Sergeant promptly entitled his foot upside the Privates backside with a few choice words, ha ha. Pay call is a very interesting thing to see in the Camp of the "Palmetto Riflemen" & "New York Zouaves."
US Scout,
I know you will not see this until your return. My suggestion is to keep the two volunteers, each responsible for one aspect. To separate each function, call the person in charge of Enlistment tracking the Adjutant, while the other person in charge of Awards can be the Aide-de-camp. My thoughts only, but I think it should be considered as having possibilities...
Additionally, I can supply whomever needs it with a PowerPoint template file to automatically create an SoM certificate, a Silver or Gold Marksmanship certificate, or a Commander's Citation certificate to be emailed to the Awardee. Let me know what is desired to be done...

Thanks Capt Barrett, but I'm way ahead of you on this one. I suggested to both applicants that we split the duties up and they have not only agreed but each volunteered for a particular position and there was absolutely no conflict!
I will post the assignments soon - after all I just returned and I'm catching up on the massive amount of paper work in the inbox.
