That was always one of my favorites too.

I did a book report on one of the two "twins" in fourth grade.  For the presentation we had to dress up like the person...  I still have the fake coonskin hat (with real tail).

I've never had coon meat, but have wanted to try it.  I already heard it's pretty greasy.  Despite my persona, I really don't like super-greasy foods anymore.   Doesn't mean I won't try it.

I didn't know that because mine isn't cat!

I must say, though, that I had one of those Groucho Marx glasses/nose sets when I was young.  I swore up and down that the eyebrows were made of cat fur.

Most likey was, up until recently many stray cats that were put to sleep were sold to furriers.

So what kind of tail does yours have, bet it ain't coon.

Lord, Ill have to send ya a coon tail or 3,  there are so many coons around here,  you see a lot more of them run over than cats or dogs.  you see them out in the daytime and always at night.

I have enough experience with cats to know that the tail is not of a cat, but I cannot say for sure that it is coon.
