I'll see if I can find the link, for a stunt they got a radio guy to snort dried Wasabi powder, and they video taped the whole thing, I don't think he'll snort anything again either!  ;D

Here OT, one of my brother-in-laws pets.  Since I'm kinda like Dr. Dolittle and can sometimes talk to the animals, I talked turkey to him, got him so mad my wife thought he was gonna come in the garage and get us.  Told her not to worry, the back door was open and I was gonne be the first one out if he came in wings a flappin' and spurs a flyin' no matter who was in my way. ;D

Guess he liked a challage, last one I talked to like that was thinkin' about findin' me and whoppin' me, but my Mighty 10 changed his mind. ;D  Anyway when he strutted into the garage I told him to leave and pointed the way, he belived me and I remain unspurred. ::)

oops we misssed the picture.

but I do know about flogging birds,  our turkeys have their toe nails and  spurs removed, so at least we don't have scratches from them ,  but you can't believe how the tips of a turkeys wings can cut.  you have to watch out after they get up about 13-14 pounds, they can really swat ya.

I didn't come back and check the post, my wife was yackin' at me when I was doing this.

Was doin' some cipherin' the other day, a task I can do, but don't do enough to be really good at and somtimes have to think a minute or two to 'memeber what to do.  Had to tell her to shut up I could do it myself, if she didn't keep yackin' at me. ;D

that's a pretty turkey,  we've had few that have had the black feathers mixed with white,  just down the road from us about a quater mile they have a turkey operations that has all grown birds and they gather eggs for hatching.  they get the birds when they are 26 weeks old and keep them 26 more weeks,  during that time they try to get 100-120 eggs per bird for hatching.  they keep about 15 Toms per 100 hens, now those Toms get about the size of the one in the picture. They can get pretty mean.

course just on down the road another quarter mile, the family has about a 30 pound peacock that will chase you down, gotta watch him.

He's got a couple of them that look like wild ones, but this one rules the roost.  Follows Bob around lile a dog.  He don't like me gobblin' in his territory though.  ;D

turkeys are like that, we always have some that will follow us from one end of the house to the other when we walk them,  they get up so close to you, just like a dog.

Hot roast turkey on bread with gravy and cranberries, mashed Idaho spuds on the side and fresh niblets.

Looks different on a plate, though.  Not so...feathery!!!

that sounds good  Forty and I ain't even hungary right now. I like em smoked too. with them same trimmings.  everybody always asks if we even like turkey,  just like Forty said,  they don't look the same on the plate as when we see em everyday.
