I have had 2 problems recently with my 1897 Winchecter Pump Shotgun.

1) In the last 100 rounds it has broken the left side extractor 2 times.  Is there something else causing this or should I buy another extrator and hope for the best?

2) When pumping another round into the chamber another round is dumped on the ground from the magazine tube.  This has happened twice in the last few matches/practices.  What is wrong?

Thankls, Jim

Is this a Winchester clone?...I understand that the extractors can and do break. As for the round dumping from the bottom, sounds as if something has come disconnected. Try this www.marauder.homestead.com/shotgun.html

I have no idea about the extractor problem.

The extra cartridge being dumped is no doubt due to worn or stuck cartridge stops. Look for the two little fingers on either side of the receiver. If these are gummed up they may work too slowly to catch the next round after letting the needed round out. Or they may be worn down and rounded off too much at the front.
