Want some cheap project guns?
« on: December 05, 2012, 07:22:17 AM »
OK, you want a deal on some '60 Army models to do conversions on?  Right now Cabellas has a pretty big discount going on their Pietta '60 Army pistols and I think I even saw something yesterday where a pard said he justgot free shipping in addition to the big sale discount?

I think those 1860's have gone back up in price.... because when you search for Pietta 1860 here: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&N=0&fsch=true&Ntk=AllProducts&Ntt=pietta+1860&x=17&y=5&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products ...Item: IK-210080 comes up on sale at $179.99 (regular price was $269.99)

But...when you actually click on the link to look at Item: IK-210080, they show they are "Backorderable--Estimated Ship Date in 7-8 weeks" with a sale price of $239.99.

It seems these must now be back up to $239.99 instead of $179.99...so much for that really good sales price. I was planning on driving out to Cabela's this month, to grab one for $179.99.

As a sise note... if your a club card member, Cabela's will soon be running their quarterly discount promotions for "non-gun" purchases...which BP guns qualify.

I bought one of these last week.
Before Dec. 4 they were $179.99 minus $20.00 = $159.99 + Postage $16.95 + Tax $14.60 =$193.19.
Should be here today ;)

That is where I got the 2 I shoot.  I really like Cabela's service as well.   We hve both Cabelas and Bass Pro here in KC and Cabelas has the Price edge for sure.  Good service at both though.

Just checked and the sale price is back to $239, I would suspect that they really had a rush on them and shot the price back up reeal pronto!  I would have gotten one but right now I am gun poor with the purchase of a pair of used 1860 Avenging Angels and a planned Conversion job on two other Pietta pistols coming up soon.  I do want to get a good basic 'standard' Pietta '60 Model but guess that will be on the back burner fer a spell.

Sure enough...their 1860 is back to $239.99 and the London model is $10 more at $249.99.
