Did you all see the full-size Colt SAA with the 7 1/2" barrel with the Thunderer grip on it? It says that California Mountain Man William Crapo ordered 4 of these in 1878 from Colt! I guess we'll all have to rethink the historical accuracy of Cimarron's full-size Thunderer! I guess it's historically accurate after all! Wow!Jake
Sir Charles, the 1878 had a one-piece frame, if I remember correctly. There was no grip frame to speak of, as on the Model P. So it would take a lot of "cutting" to make this work.Regards,Jake

Now this could serve as the basis of an interesting cartridge conversion. It would make a nice custom project for my Uberti Walker. It also has a very interesting looking ejector assembly.
