Humbled at Saluda
« on: May 01, 2012, 02:13:39 PM »
Well, it happened again!

Just when I think I am a well polished gun slinger... I go to a NCOWS match at the Saluda Saddle Tramps!

Why just the Saturday past I got me a clean shoot token at a SASS match, then Okiefenokie Outlaw sets up a match and those dang pistol targets get me every time.

Guess I am gonna have to stop trying to hit that pesky steel with my left hand, gonna try a cross-draw this week end.

A large time was had by all... had shooters from both Carolinas and a visitor from down Florida way.

It got pretty warm by afternoon, but managed to get everything put up and have some fine chow and fellowship.

That pistol steel gets to be a bit challenging for all of us youngsters once it gets out there a ways.  I'm glad you had a good time, as I think we all did, despite some firearm issues.  I found the problem with my Russian when I got home; it was right in front of my face but didn't see it at the match.

I wish I could have joined you all.  The good Lord willing I will be at the Dec match.

OO I guess reliability is why the Army bought mostly Colt.  LOL.  We all have good and bad days.

You folks take care, see you soon.

The match was fun.

I won my category.  Course I was the only one in my category.... ::) ;D
I think that may be my only chance at winning.

Hopefully I can get some lessons in before the next match.
