The match was a complete success!
Believe we had 15 participants and a few spectators present.

From CAS City...I think we had Bear Tooth Billy, Ol' Gabe, & myself. There were several NCOWs pards there I hadn't seen in a few years...including Bob Walline and Mike & Mitch Norris.

Looking forward to the next match (when my shoulder recovers)

Slim,
(What figures he's about 70 lbs lighter than when I last fired at buffalos)

At todays cowboy shoot (Sun) it was announced how much fun was had by all. From the people that talked to me there seems
to be a lot more interest and we're talking about setting another date for the next shoot.I would like to thank everyone who
helped out, the Turkeyfoot Longrifles who loaned us the targets, and especially Jay Weber who delivered the targets to my house.
If anyone has a buffalo rifle that they no longer use, we have people here that are looking for guns.

Yee Haw!
Saturday's Buff Shoot was a hoot of a shoot! B.T.B. put on a fine match at a wonderful site, it even came with 'live' deer crossing the firing line to add another dimension to the difficult shots, HAH! No kidding Pards, a nice young and fat deer strolled out of the dense timber across both lines of fire and stopped halfway looking at the targets then at the Shooters line, it shook its head and then strolled across to the other side and vanished in more dense brush. Now, you can't write a scripted event like that except in Hollywierd! We all cackled.
New Shooters and old were there and all had a great time, one new feller on our Posse had a chance to give his rifle a run and then enjoyed 3 bowls of B.T.B.'s famous Buffler Chili, he cleaned his bowl every time! Some of the other new Shooters thought B.T.B. was just teasing when he said "Buffler Chili is ready!", so us oldsters that knew "...the rest of the story..." 'splained it to them that he had shot the Buff and it was indeed the real deal, they quickly changed their collective minds and plowed into a big bowl with nothing but grins and giggles as to how good it tasted.
My Pard Mark & I had to leave early but had a lot of fun and praise for the folks who help B.T.B. put the event on and we hope they have another soon.
Best regards and good shooting!
"Ol Gabe
