I'm a grandpa!
« on: October 25, 2010, 09:35:28 AM »
My daughter gave birth at 3:45 am on October 25 (local time and date in Norway) to my first grandchild, whose name in English is Theodore John (I'm going to call him TJ). This is my first grandchild and frankly, I don't know what to do about it, except sit here and grin like an idiot. Mom and baby are doing fine.

Congratulations, Mon Ami!

'Teddy' has a nice ring to it, too.

CONGRATULATIONS,
Being a grammy to three girls(10, 6,& 4) and two boys(7 & 8 monthes) is the best. We do things that moms and dads don't like to do because it is to messy. Like making play dough and playing with it at the table. Then to make things more fun blowing bubbles drives parents over the edge. I love being a grammy.

One of each for me.  As they say, if I would have know grandkids were so much fun we'd of had them first. ;)

Go on line and start requesting catalogs so you can get an idea of what you'll need to properly spoil him.

My son and his wife picked the name Logan Xavier for my grandson because "you can't think of a nickname for that one, Pop!"

I call him Lex for LX.  Ticks them off royally, but I invoke Grandpa's privilege.

Good words to remember, they named my GS Lemol Oliver and call him Ollie, all except me, I call him Lemol.

Could get us a couple derbies when he gets older and when we get in trouble I could look at him and say, "well Ollie, this is another fine mess you've gotten us into." ::)

Don't know if you Grandpa and Grandma's know it, but we have a thread for pictures, up to 12 pages so far.  Last pictures was mine and me plus Rowdy the black Lab cuttin' up a pumpkin. My dog, he thinks he's my wifes dog but Lexie says he's her dog.  don't matter he had as much fun as the kids:
