True Grit INDY
« on: September 17, 2010, 03:50:23 PM »
Look for a group of Indy Cowboys to go see True Grit when in comes in Dec. 2010.  Looks like it does not open until Christmas Day so what day works for most people,  Dec. 26, Sun. Jan. 1 Sat. or Jan 2 Sun?  Would like to go to move and dinner at Longhorn steak house after.  The Longhorn is at I 65 and Southport road just East of the interstate.

Please give some feedback on this so that we can make it happen.

Wish you fellar's were 50 or so miles south on SR 37 or I-65.
We'd take you up on it.
Maybe we'll get a few pards together down here and go.

Sounds good to me!  I'd vote for the Road House as well, but the Longhorn is not bad.

As of right now we are looking at trying to go see “True Grit“, early after noon, on Sat. Jan. 1 2011 than out to eat after.  The theater is:
AMC Showplace 17
4325 South Meridian Str.
Indianapolis, IN. 46217

This is just North of 465 off of US 31 on the South side of Indianapolis.  We are planning on going to Texas Roadhouse at Southport Rd. and I65 just south of 465.  Wives and family are welcome if you think it appropriate.  I will not be bringing the triplets.  Will give time once we have a movie listing to go off of.

Hope to see you there.

Our Blue River Regulators has this planned as one of our winter events. Looking forward to it.
You bet we're going dressed period as it'd be considered an NCOWS event.

By the way, every review I've read so far is glowing. The acting, the cinematography,- everything is Oscar-worthy.
One of the fortunate 're-make is better than the original' movies.

Little Jimmy, I'm with you about the Blu-Ray.  Mrs. Santa showed me 2 different Blu-Rays she had bought, and told me to "check them out and pick the one to give our Son for his Christmas present."  When I asked what was happening to the OTHER one, she said it was MY Christmas present!

So - now I know I'll be buying some new discs plus I need to get a 6' HDMI cable to hook it up to the record player/radio we have for that stuff.

If the show times do not change between now and Sat. it looks like there is a 1pm show.  So try to meet in lobby around 12:45-1250.

Hope to see you there.

It's lookin' real good for the home team.  Unless something major happens tomorrow, I'll be there, 'tho I won't be wearing period clothing.  (Wardrobe issues, I'm sorry to say.  Besides ... if I get iinto the proper clothing, that outfit would  include a holster and Colt or Remington, so ...)

Blue River Regulators are going all dressed out in our finest 19th cent. duds this Sunday, then reservations at a restaurant. Judging by past attendance at these social events, we'll probably have a dozen+ ambassadors for people to gawk at and enjoy. ;D ;D

Steel Horse and RCJ,

You might find something of interest in your email related to the film.
