Buck, you remind me of one of the pirates in A High Wind In Jamaica.

The pirates are in the dock in London after having been convicted of kidnapping and abusing children, a crime they DID NOT COMMIT!!  One of them turns to Victor Mature (?), the pirate captain, and bemoans the fact that they are about to be strung up for something they didn't do.

The captain tells him to "buck up.  Surely you've done something in your life that deserves a hanging."
