I've been a bit absent - when I'm not at the office I don't get online as much.

Anyways, I just walked up front and looked outside and it's snowing again in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Between the Dec. 2 snow, the Christmas Eve snow and then this today, this is the most snow I've seen prior to New Years since the *maybe* back in late 70s/early 80s. It may not be heavy like you foreigners get, but it's still snow.

Seems to me we had an earthquake recently. The Cowboys beat the Saints and the whole globe shifted on it's axis.

Nope.  I've been a Saints fan beginning with their very-first-ever game, played at Tulane stadium in New Orleans.  It was against the LA Rams.  The Saints won the toss, elected to receive the opening kickoff, and ran it back 94 yards for a touchdown.  From that point onward, everything went straight downhill.

Over the decades the Saints have become the masters of the maneuver called "Snatching Defeat From the Jaws of Victory."  So the El Nino didn't do it -- the Saints did.

From the beginning it has taken loads of courage & conviction, and a little insanity, to be a Saints fan.  Things haven't changed.

Ttey had over 20 inches of snow up in that area with this last blow.

Bro. Bob, Good luck with that Global warming thing!  The snows in Nebraska remind me of living in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles in the 60s.  Too much snow and Too cold! I moved to D/FW to get away from the cold and snow. We got another inch or so last night. People around here consider that a real snow storm. They need to rethink that.

All kidding aside, I have a lot of empathy for you folks.  Though I was born and raised in the South, there have been a couple of times in my life when I was so cold that I felt like I'd have to warm up before I could freeze.  I've seen 8 feet of snow on the ground, with drifts up to 15 or 20.  I know what a whiteout looks, sounds and feels like.

I'm gonna be one of those!  My posse is having a shoot this Saturday and the high is supposed to be 22 F and there is over a foot of snow on the range which is down 7 miles of county gravel roads, and I'm NOT going.  I hate being cold, and since I contracted Lyme disease, I feel the cold quickly and severely.  Just call me wimpy! ;

Besides, I will be packing for my annual trip to New Orleans to commemorate the 1815 Battle with the "Bloody British"!  I'll be one of them, as Surgeon of the 95th Regt. of Foot [Rifles]   Get to live in an Antebellum house that was built on the battle field in the 1830's as a summer home for a wealthy NO family.    Special dispensation for being old and infirm!
