I talked to Walt today at EMF , and the long barreled shotguns are scheduled to arrive on the 25 . I guess it's a Christmas wish come true .

The long barreled Hartford's are at Customs , Hopefully they will be in EMF's hands on Monday ?As soon as I get my shotgun will let you know what to expect .

Pretty nifty. I certainly have done no study on it but it seems to me viewing period images that you see far more long barreled shotguns being carried, even by law enforcement and guards, during our period than the short barreled doubles we all love because they are just so darn cool.

I got my shotgun today . It looks great and it handle great and shoots even better . EMF has done an Excellent job . I can't wait to go Turkey Hunting this spring . This will make a Excellent Vintage Hunting weapon and the black powder ammo from Powder Inc will be the Perfect combination .

Trap
you better call EMF and order that shotgun today .

I just went to EMF's website and I could not find any long barreled shotguns. ???

Howdy Rowdy,
Is the EMF 26" Hartford a different gun than the Cimarron (TTN) model?

Rowdy Fulcher

Howdy
The Hartford 1878 is from EMF and from the TTN factory . The person I have been dealing with is Walt Johnson formerly of TTN . He is working at EMF now and will give you the same Excellent service as he gave at TTN . AS far as Cimarron don't know anything about them  so I can't say .

The New 26 inch Hartford is working Great . I am in the process of getting a heavy loaded shotgun shell  to take Coyote Hunting .
A Vintage Coyote Hunt with a Hammered shotgun and black powder shotgun shells . The nice part of coyote hunting is no blaze orange requirements .

I was wanting to use #2 shot to Coyote hunt with . Had to order it , seems that everyone carries 6, 7 1/2 , 8 shot . I called Midway and it's on the way . Planning on shooting a Video this week , if the weather  cooperates ? That's always FUN .

...#2 shot is pretty handy size to have. I cast my own buckshot & slug loads & use reduced loads suitable for doubles, several with BP.
When I'm serious, it's smokeless 3" magnum #4 buck,,,but for use only in my newer single-barrel-type guns.
