Why shoot black powder?

A picture is worth 1000 words.

Man,

Shooting under all those shade trees . . . that could spoil a man!

Look at all the cover we have:

You fellas are lucky to shoot in such a beautiful part of the country.

Because my grandpa shoot black powder and me and him are to lazy to swap the powders. Also black powder is more expensive and has more recoil so it slows you down.

Beautiful pics.

I took my 1860 Army to the indoor range a couple of weeks ago.  It was a thing of beauty.  I usually shoot at an outdoor range in the middle of the day.  I could see the flame shoot half way to the target.  The gun made the most wonderful booooom.  And of course, the beautiful cloud of smoke ...

I got of 6 rounds and the range master came running in to tell me I couldn't shoot that gun in there.  Blackpowder was banned from the range.
He said people had actually caught the range on fire (I can believe it!).

I got my hand slapped, but it was worth it!
