East Texas Posse?

I know there is a posse in the Dallas area, but that is not really an option right now. I am carless and starting college in the fall(after a one year break from highschool that turned to 5
). And I am working towards getting a car, but would love to shoot here in Tyler. We have a SASS group, but thats not really what I am looking for. I prefer historical accuracy. Just wondering if anyone in the Tyler area has though about stating up a Posse, I would be looking to join.

The only NCOWS posse in Texas is Texas Ten Horns. Our club is north of Greenville (which is not that far from Tyler). The next two closests posses are in Alabama and Kansas.
We often have SASS shooters from Tyler and Texarkana come out to our NCOWS matches. You should contact your local SASS club and see if they can organize a car pool.

We will shoot SASS next Saturday (7/25) and NCOWS next Sunday (7/26)
Let me know if I can help you in any way.
Pancho
P.S. I do hope we see more NCOWS posse's pop up here. I think there are lots of shooters who are interested. We just need some motivated cowboys to do the organizing.

Darby, I agree. I am not NCOWS but am leaning more towards them than I am SASS which I have already joined. It would be great if we could enough shooters in the Tyler area and find a place to shoot to set up a posse. If you would like, PM me or email me at burl53@gmail.com
Maybe we can find a way to get the ball rolling here in Tyler.

You boys might want to talk with the Peacemakers and Troublemakers SASS clubs. If they are willing to try a NCOWS match, I'll be more than glad to come over and help set one up.

Thanks Cole. If Darby contacts me I will let you know what we can work out. If all else fails Greenville is not that far.

I'll second what Cole said, if you fellas get some NCOWS interest in the Tyler area, you'd have several members of the Ten Horns that would be willing to drive over and attend or help out at your matches.
Let us know,

Bodie, you would not have to wait a whole month to shoot with us. We will have another NCOWS match in just two more weeks, on August 23rd. Hope you can make it.
