How does progress on the California possie stand?

Sorry if I'm off base here but I'm an old reenactor (1840s, Civil War, Indian Wars, WWII) and a long time SASS shooter (SASS#1188) and I have been champing at the bit for years to be near an NCOWS group to shoot with.  I'm from Nevada but I'm spending a good part of my year now in southern California so I am hoping that there will be an NCOWS club to shoot with.  I read through all the posts on the subject and I can't seem to make heads or tales of them.  Is there progress on this front?  Where would the club be located and the shooting occur?  Who is leading the charge so I can get involved.  I don't have a ton of time and I'm about a stones throw from the Mexican border so I'm kind of out of the way, but I want to get back to shooting with some folks who actually care about history.  Any info would be appreciated.

You should PM Joss House who is organizing the posse.  I don't know enough about California geography to tell you where it will be located.  Joss is a good guy and will be happy to fill you in.
