Nice buffalo, where did you shoot it at?

I set up my cross sticks at 124 yds ( I used a range finder to get correct sight setting) My first shot
went through the lungs and clipped the back of his heart which made him take off  (straight at me) but after
4 steps he stopped and wobbled, he turned sideways so I shot again through the lungs and he was down quickly

Where were you when you were 124 yards from the Buffy?  Town, state, country? ;D

There's a nice sized herd out near Bluegrass, IA...just in case someone gets an urge  ;).....I could find their phone number if anyone's interested.

I'd consider taking a buff more seriously myself, but I'm living on thin ice just to get my latest deer antlers up on the wall (no head mounts or hides allowed indoors).

Dang Nice Buff you got!
Goin' on a Hunt come Spring at the Triple S Ranch(Range) Calvin, OK...How Old a Buff was that one you got, looks like a Trophy Class to me.
I'm bringin' my H&R .45/70 Buffalo Classic & my Armi Sport Sharps CAV Carbine .54 Paper Cart. Is 124 yards an average distance or can you attemp closer?
I'll take any edge I can get...right now the only edge I got is that one a my 4 Brothers lives within a few hours of Calvin, OK and his neighbor jus' bought a new freezer, gave him the old one. My Brother now has two freezers one's for me.
That's my edge! :O)

Congrads good shot That's a Big Buff,

Smokin gun,

I would recomend getting to a range that you KNOW you are capable of an accurate, quick,
humane kill. Practice and know you and your gun's capabilities!!! I have been shooting some
competition shoots and doing pretty well but when you go after a real buff it's a whole new
situation. I would advise you to get within 100 yds and wait for a good angle (sideways to take
out both lungs) The last 2 buffs I've taken were 1800 and 1600 lb bull 7-8 years old, with big guns,
45/90 and 50/90 with heavy bullets 540gr and 650gr 45/1 alloy. Good luck!!!   To take a buff with
a real buff gun  is quite a thrill that last a long time
