This year's season starts in a month, yepper, another great year of Big Bore Shoots in '07 put on by the CVR has passed into history and the season for 2008 is in the works so please get your registration forms sent in!
Here is the most recent list of event dates and if you are looking for a great place to shoot your Big Bore, join us at one of the events listed below, you won't go wrong!!
-April 25-27, Spring Buff Shoot, Ackley, IA, 'Bear Tooth Billy' tells me he is bringing Buffler Chilli for supper on Saturday, and if it is good as last year, Boy Howdy, you are gonna love it!!
-May 17-18, .22 Silhouette and Creedmore with new targets; 266 yds, 300 yds and 333 yds, Eldora, IA
-June 29, Big Bore Silhouette Shoot, Ackley, IA
-July 13, .22 Silhouette & Creedmoor Shoot, Eldora, IA
-July 26-27, Mini Big Bore Shoot, 45/70's with very small targets, Eldora, IA
-August 8-10, 'Strand's Stand', 200-1,000 yard Mid-Long Range, Ackley, IA
-August 23, High-Powered & Military Rifle Shoot, Ackley, IA
-September 14, .22 Silhouette, Eldora, IA
-September 20, High-Powered & Military Rifle Shoot, Ackley, IA
-September 26-28, Buff Shoot, Ackley, IA

Boy, I certainly wish that either the range or I were closer to each other!!! I certainly would love to try my new rifle out on those targets.  I wish you well with the shoots, and I am sure you will have a great time.
