Pondering which guns to use.

Now that Spring is upon us, we will all be going out to start shooting matches again.  Do any of you have problems deciding which guns to get out of the safe, cabinet or wherever to use at a particular match?  I am sometimes tempted to bring a variety and then change them out in between stages.  I know it isnt an earth shattering problem that I have, but just curious if I am the only one that ponders this.  Regards.  Deadeye.

We shoot all winter long.  I shoot the same guns unless I'm shooting BP.  :)

Nope, ya ain't.

Our weather is generally good 'nuff we shoot year round. Thursday, I decide what I'm takin'. Friday, I stand with the safe door open wonderin' if Thursday's decision was what I really wanted ta do. Then I grab two 'n maybe another for a back up. Saturday mornin', on the way to the shoot, in the truck with some good music on 'n a cup coffee, I ask myself why I didn't carry sumthin' else instead ah what I took.

Sumtimes I think I'd be best off if all I had were the two Blackhawks I started with.

All I did was name it 'n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

Well Mr. Deadeye, it is an enviable problem to have  :D
As I have various caliber guns, I sometimes base my decision on what ammo is loaded and ready to go.  At one match last year I did take 12 revolvers and shot each once in a six stage match.  The parking was close to the shooting and I just headed to the wagon and swapped guns for each stage.  It were fun!

I don't ponder at all, I just take every cowboy gun I've got; 3 pistols, 2 rifles, 2 shotguns, and plenty of ammo. Most times, I change them out about halfway through the match.

Now that sounds like a great solution to my problem!

Deadeye you must need to get another set. I base this on I have my favorite set and thats for sure the ones I'd take first. After a few outings maybe it will be time to try the others. Maybe not. I don't think you have your favorite set bought yet!

I like to find a set with no missues in them, then just take them. Like Grouchy Greg, I have changed guns in the middle of the match.  Might try signing up twice and shoot under 2 different names, then shoot 2 different sets of guns.
