Ditto to what Ruff Justice said.

Just like with different types of hats, leather, and clothing, if your character would have carried a knife, do so. It does add style points which we all know is the real reason for shooting in CAS.  ;D

One day at a match a guy asked if I had a knife on me, and since I had left my little Colt pocket knife at home I said "nope"
I wasn't thinkin' about the neck knife that I wear around my neck
or the little gold knife at the other end of my watch chain
or the 8.5"blade Jacobs Bowie I had hanging on my hip....

Like the man says just what ya prefers, but, don't go forgettin you are a wearin them..

I alway have. As the man said style points.  ;D  Though on occasion it can be a problem.  I wear my knife at the back of my belt and if the stage calls for sitting on a chair the knife handle can get caught on it will.  I've gotten out of a chair more than once to have it follow me.  :o

Remember if it ain't made out of good enough steel to hone to a razors edge and has not hat that done, it ain't a knife, it's a durned pry bar. ;)
